Aya is a mobile application for emotional support, self-reflection, journaling and personal digital care.

This combined Privacy Policy & Terms of Use (“Policy”) applies to the Aya mobile application, the Aya Muse World website and related digital services operated under the Aya brand.

By accessing or using Aya, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to this Policy.

2. Important disclaimer

Aya is not a medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic or crisis service.

Aya does not provide medical advice, mental-health diagnosis, therapy, treatment or emergency assistance.

All content, features, reflections and AI-generated responses inside Aya are intended only for emotional support, self-reflection, inspiration and personal journaling.

Some responses inside Aya may be generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence. AI-generated responses may not always be accurate, complete or appropriate for your personal situation.

If you are experiencing a crisis, severe emotional distress or feel that you may harm yourself or others, please contact qualified professionals, local emergency services or crisis support resources immediately.

3. Data we may collect

Aya may collect and process only the data necessary to operate and improve the application, including:

• email address
• authentication data
• user-generated notes, letters, journal entries and reflections
• entries you place in the Word Chest and items you keep in Treasures
• messages you send in the Tea Room chat with Aya
• photos or files you choose to attach
• selected emotional states and app interactions
• technical device and app data
• data required to provide push notifications
• your purchase or subscription status, where paid features apply

Aya does not sell, rent or trade personal data for advertising purposes.

4. How we use data

We use data only for the following purposes:

• to operate and improve the application
• to personalise the user experience
• to save your content and app progress
• to maintain security, reliability and stability
• to provide AI-powered features
• to deliver notifications if enabled by you
• to confirm your access to app features

5. AI features and third-party services

Some Aya features use artificial intelligence and trusted cloud infrastructure provided by third-party services, including OpenAI and Google Firebase.

When you use AI-powered features, certain messages or inputs may be processed by these services solely to generate responses and support the functionality of the application.

App distribution and in-app purchases are handled by the app stores — the Apple App Store, Google Play and RuStore — under their own terms and privacy policies.

Third-party services process data according to their own privacy and security practices. Aya uses such services only as necessary to provide core app functionality.

6. Data storage, security and encryption

Aya uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect user data.

Some features may use local encryption and secure storage on your device.

Certain data may be stored using secure cloud infrastructure such as Google Firebase.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure; however, we work to protect your data using appropriate safeguards.

7. Data retention and deletion

We retain user data only for as long as necessary to provide the application’s features, maintain user accounts, comply with legal obligations and ensure service security.

You can delete individual items within the app, and the Delete Account option removes your account and its associated data.

After deletion, some limited data may be retained only where required by law, security, fraud prevention or legitimate operational purposes. Backups may take some time to clear.

8. User responsibilities

By using Aya, you agree to:

• use the application respectfully and lawfully
• not misuse, disrupt or attempt to harm the service
• not upload illegal, harmful, abusive or offensive content
• understand the symbolic, reflective and non-clinical nature of Aya
• remain responsible for your personal decisions and actions

9. Intellectual property

All Aya materials — including texts, visuals, design elements, logos, illustrations, narratives and digital assets — belong to Aya Muse World and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or use Aya materials for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

10. Age

Aya is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you are under the age required in your country to consent to the processing of personal data, please use Aya only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete such data.

11. International users

Aya may be used by people from different countries and regions. By using the application, you understand that your data may be processed and stored in jurisdictions outside your country of residence.

We aim to respect applicable privacy principles, including transparency, data minimisation, security and user control.

12. Changes to this Policy

Aya Muse World may update this Policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be available on the official Aya Muse World website.
