Scope

This Privacy Notice explains how personal data is handled across Aya Muse World — the website (Aya’s World and Aya Atelier) and the Aya mobile application.

Aya Muse World is an international, independent aesthetic and emotional-support project. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be clear about what happens with what we do collect.

The website

The website does not use advertising analytics, profiling or marketing cookies.

The Atelier enquiry form stores the details you submit — your name, email, brand or place, project type, budget range and message — in our database so that we can read and reply to your enquiry. It is used for that purpose only. If the form cannot reach our database, it opens your email app instead so your message is not lost.

The “Write to Aya” link and other email links simply open your email app; a message is sent only if you choose to send it, and we use your email and message only to reply.

Our website host may automatically process technical information such as IP address, request time and security logs to keep the site running safely. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive technical request information when the page loads.

External platforms

When you follow a link to an outside platform, that platform handles your data under its own policy:

• Gumroad processes any purchase you make there.
• The Apple App Store (Apple) handles app downloads, in-app purchases and their billing.
• Social media platforms process data under their own policies.

Aya Muse World does not receive or store your payment-card details from these platforms. Where a feature requires it, we may receive only the limited information needed to confirm a purchase or grant access.

Data processed in the Aya application

The Aya application is designed to hold personal, emotional content, so it processes more than the website. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

• your email address and account identifier
• letters and journal entries you write, including letters to your future self
• entries you place in the Word Chest and items you keep in Treasures
• photos or files you choose to attach
• messages you send in the Tea Room chat with Aya
• a push-notification token, if you enable notifications
• technical and security information needed to run the app safely
• your purchase or subscription status, if paid features are added

How the data is used

We use this information to:

• create your account and let you sign in
• save and show your own content back to you
• deliver scheduled letters and the notifications you choose
• generate Aya’s responses in the Tea Room
• keep the service secure and prevent errors or abuse
• provide support when you contact us
• confirm your access to app features

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the service:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, notifications and server infrastructure
• Apple — app distribution, in-app purchases and push infrastructure
• OpenAI — processing Tea Room messages to generate Aya’s replies
• our website host and email provider
• Gumroad — only when you choose to visit Gumroad

AI and the Tea Room

When you write to Aya in the Tea Room, your message is sent to an AI provider to create a response.

The Tea Room is a space for gentle reflection. It is not private therapy or a crisis line, and you should not send information you would not want processed by a service provider.

Where our configuration allows, Tea Room messages are not used to train AI models.

Storage, retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists or while it is needed to provide a feature.

You can delete individual items within the app, and the Delete Account option removes your account and its associated data, except anything we are required to keep by law. Backups may take some time to clear.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you
• correct inaccurate data
• delete your data
• receive a copy of your data
• withdraw consent
• object to certain kinds of processing
• complain to your local data-protection authority

What we do not do

We do not run advertising, build advertising or profiling profiles of you, or sell your personal data.
